About Us
Formed in November 2004, Stave Natives are a local bunch of musicians from Orkney with an appetite for the wilder side of musical composition. We have a wonderful female singer that makes you melt at the sound of her voice (okay, okay… I’m maybe slightly bias) and not only that, give her an electric guitar and a Marshall…
We also have a hot bassist (kinda useful) with an electrifying stage presence! He has got to be seen to be believed, plays a Spector NS5 bass through Trace Elliot amplification!
What to Expect
Some of you out there will already know, or have an inkling of what we may sound like… then again, maybe not! We have an enegetic sound using a frequently distorted guitar, sometimes the bass too and then turn up the controls to get level with our (drummer) and away we go!
Imagine how much noise you can can make with eleven strings…
What kind of band were we?
We were a beautifully cooked Sole Meuniere floating in a sea of lightly cooked Hollandaise with a ruddy great fag-end stuck in it. Hell, you would never expect it, would you!
Sadly, this outfit is no longer… maybe one day something will happen again, by which time we’ll probably be older than The Rolling Stones!
